Lovely hotel in a very quiet location
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. It is a lovely building in a very quiet location, with no traffic nearby. We had a large room and a very wide and comfortable bed. We had dinner there on the first evening, which was very good. We visited the water gardens next door, which are very pretty, and we walked down to the river nearby. The continental breakfasts were fine for us. All the staff we met were very pleasant and helpful. The location is good for visiting attractions in the area. We hired a canoe and had a half-day trip from Vitrac to Beynac, which was excellent, and we visited Domme, Château de Beynac and La Roque Gageac.

A good, quiet, civilised hotel slightly hidden away but not for anyone with mobility problems.
Attractive building layout and pool, small number of rooms and very quiet. Waiting staff charming and female receptionist delightful and most helpful. Cuisine good. Lovely view over courtyard garden from room. Personal service by almost all of staff. Elegant terrace for eating breakfast and dinner.
No lift and no one offering to help with luggage on arrival or departure despite our being over 70 and the rooms were all upstairs (two small flights). Manager serving/attending at tables for dinner wearing torn denim jeans and tee shirt which he wore during the day, while waiting staff were smart and the guests had changed for dinner. Slightly hard to find - directions on website not great and locals had not heard of it.
